STOP STACEY APPLAUDS INVESTIGATION INTO ABRAMS’ NEW GEORGIA PROJECT, URGES SWIFT ACTION

ATLANTA — Today, Stop Stacey applauded the Georgia State Board of Elections’ decision to investigate New Georgia Project, Stacey Abrams’ shady voter registration group, for voter fraud. The State Board of Elections found that the New Georgia Project illegally delivered over 1,200 voter registration forms and referred their findings to Attorney General Chris Carr. Stop Stacey Senior Strategist Jeremy Brand issued the following statement:

“We applaud the State Board of Elections’ decision to investigate Stacey Abrams’ New Georgia Project for voter fraud and encourage Attorney General Chris Carr to take swift action. Time and time again, Abrams shady network of George Soros-funded leftist political groups have skirted the law and undermined election integrity. We must restore trust in the democratic process by holding Stacey Abrams and the New Georgia Project accountable for their behavior.”

New Georgia Project has been riddled with controversies and scandals since its inception. The group is still under active investigation for attempting to register out-of-state voters. In 2018, it was hit with numerous tax liens for failing to pay unemployment taxes, and in 2020, it took $482,000 in PPP loans meant for small businesses—more than 4 times the average amount.
